The Minister of Territorial Administration, Atanga Nj Paul, has chaired a peace mediation meeting which brought together key personalities of the Tikar people from the Adamawa, West and Northwest Regions of Cameroon. The meeting took place on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at the Minister’s cabinet in Yaounde. At the center of the discussions was the articulation of the practical principles that promotes peace including social cohesion and living together. This consultation meeting was part in a series of mediation talks, aimed to settle disputes betweens the people of Tikar people and those of the Bamoun in order to strengthen unity between them. A meeting of the same subject matter was chaired by Minister Atanga Nji on January 28, where he received the Sultan-King of the Bamouns, Nforifoum Nabil Mbombo Njoya and the Superior Chief Tikar of Bankim, Gah Il Ibrahim in the presence of the Governor of the Adamawa Region, Kildadi Taguiéké Boukar and the Governor of the West Region, Awa Fonka Augustine.
